The Eagle Tavern - Faringdon

The location was great: a local market and a market were within walking distance. The room was clean and had central heating, coffee and tea making equipment, and television. Excellent service, though a few employees were chatty.

The room was brand-new & fashionable, came with a lovely bath, comfortable double bed, the bedroom. The food was fabulous, the breakfast was hearty and lovely. The property was in the middle of the city.

Great food, but the room had a leak from heavy rains.

Charming Stay with Attentive Service!

I had a lovely evening enjoying the friendly atmosphere and quality service. The staff were genuinely helpful, and the cozy dining area served a good full English breakfast with proper sausages. Be prepared for some quirks, but the charm of this vintage pub more than makes up for it.

The whole place had this cozy country vibe, perfect for a chill weekend away. Our room was clean n comfy, and breakfast was just delicious! Totally loved watchin the horses outside while eating. Would def come back for another stay!

Only complaint was a bit of noise from the bar at night. Parking can be tricky since there's no dedicated lot.

The Eagle Tavern impressed with really good food quality and attentive service during my visit. Although the check-in time was a bit late for weary travelers, the good dining experience made it worthwhile. The shower in our room was unpredictable, which slightly impacted our comfort. Still, a great overall experience.

We stayed at the eagle for one night while walking the thames path. The rooms were clean, and the superior king room had a comfortable bed. We were actually surprised by dinner. The menu had some really good dishes and the service was attentive. It's close enough to the path for a convenient stop.

The superior king room was spacious and clean, with a private bathroom with a shower and complimentary toiletries like conditioner and body soap. I loved the cozy seating area and a tv for relaxation. They also provided a tea/coffee maker and an electric kettle. Generous breakfast included local ingredients and freshly made options. Perfect location for exploring!

Our classic triple room was spacious and perfect for our family, with cozy beds and a lovely view of the village. The food was excellent. The kids loved the home-cooked meals, especially the hearty breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. The staff were great too.

There was a minor issue with the hot water.

This cozy place suits me perfectly! Free wi-fi, a cute bar, and a lovely restaurant make my stays enjoyable. The staff once helped me find a great dining spot nearby. I keep coming back for romantic escapes.

The Eagle's menu is a hidden gem! The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection, and the ales hit the spot after a long day walking the Thames Path. Plus, the staff were great, genuinely caring about our stay.

Now, the bed was a bit of a disaster-mattress uneven and a tad worn out.

Couple getaway with excellent food!

The dinner was a delight, small menu but everything freshly prepared with skill. Breakfast was just as good, especially the sourdough toast, a pleasant change!

It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but worth every penny.
